For the freshwater fishkeeper

Fish Game

Watching personalities, relationships and water quality.

Fish Game pays attention to the animals as individuals, their relationships and the water they live in. Build a planted freshwater aquarium and learn how its inhabitants get along. It leans toward the observation and care side of fishkeeping rather than a quick collection checklist.

Choose it for a more detailed freshwater simulation. Breeding is listed as planned, so check the current Steam description before buying for that feature.

A few fishkeeping game questions

Which aquarium games focus on collecting fish?

Chillquarium centres on buying, raising and collecting fish, including rare colour variants. Tiny Aquarium adds a desktop companion and social features. ChillTank combines a fish and skin collection with breeding, individual progression and habitat decoration. Drawquarium takes a more creative direction by letting you draw inhabitants.

Which games let you breed fish?

ChillTank includes unlockable breeding, while Cozy Littlequarium also lists fish breeding. Fish Game lists breeding as planned; do not assume that every aquarium simulator already includes it. Check the current official listing for each game.

What is the difference between an idle aquarium game and an aquarium simulator?

Idle aquarium games tend to emphasize collecting and growth over time. Detailed simulators may focus more on water quality, fish behaviour or tank design. Desktop companions occupy a small part of your screen; management games such as Megaquarium add staff, exhibits and visitors.

Can I try ChillTank for free on Steam?

Yes. ChillTank has a free Steam demo for Windows, macOS and Linux. The full game is coming soon. Gameplay and saves are local, so optional Steam services do not block offline singleplayer play.
